![]() ![]() I was a bitter child that blamed everyone else for my misfortunes and how easy they had everything. I never fit in with people because a lot of things that they view as important, was not even remotely important to me. Essentially I would be afraid to fail and be ridiculed by what people thought. Anything that required pain or suffering, I would be too scared to try it. They are doing much better now due to perseverance and hard work.īesides my past, I was a pretty average person growing up, but I used to run away from challenges. My parents recently told me that there was a time where they didn’t have $20 in their bank account, and had to pretend to me that we were doing okay. The other thing with my childhood was that we were poor. I fortunately grew up with a loving stepdad who taught me everything on how to be a good person and the importance of life and a loving, hardworking mother who brought home the money. ![]() I can relate to a lot of David’s childhood coming from a broken home and dealing with severe trauma that I am still dealing with to this day. My parents divorced at a young age, and I am a survivor of childhood sexual assault. Let me preface this story with my background, I grew up in broken a household. I’ve been following him since 2018, but didn’t put his words into practice or even understood his message until this year. I am a big fan of David Goggins and his words of wisdom.
